"Wilson Model 22
Cop Tool"
Detective Sgt. Derek
Melton
I received the Wilson
Model 22 "Cop Tool" from
Col. Brown and the
Soldier of Fortune
Magazine for review —
and immediately put this
little charm to the
test. At first glance it
doesn't look like much
of a tool, but once it
is in your hand on the
job you are proven
wrong. This is a cop's
tool! We immediately
began using the tool
cutting stickers off
license tags, as well as
cutting flex-cuffs off
rather large suspects.
The serrated edge on
this weapon is
incredibly sharp, and
its ability to retain
that edge is superior.
The seat belt hook is
extremely useful as
well, not only for
slicing through the
belts but for
flex-cuffs, small ropes,
and wires.
The construction of
this weapon is as sturdy
as the men who will
carry them. The 3/16 D2
construction is hearty
enough for prying
windows, doors, and it
may even be utilized for
a step in a tight
situation. The single
finger groove as well as
the thumb divots makes
the tool easy to
maintain control of
during use. This
multi-purpose tool is
compact and easily
slides inside the
belt-line without
aggravating discomfort.
The para-chord handle
gives the tool a firm
grip as well as a
tactical look.
Our officers were all
impressed with the
durability as well as
the practicality of this
product. Every cop needs
to have one of these
available for the
situations faced daily
on the mean streets of
America.
